South African Business Delegation at Al Jassra Offices

On September 19 , 2019, a group of delegates visited Al Jassra Group premises from South Africa, led by the country’s Ambassador HE Faizel Moosa to get informed on how they can develop their business in Qatar.

According to the South African Ambassador, “the trade volume between Qatar and South Africa has increased by 70 percent during the post-blockade period as a result of emerging market opportunities and strong bilateral relations”. The South African embassy is making efforts to further promote both South African trade and services, like tourism, among people in Qatar encouraging bilateral relations and exchange of visits from delegates.

This visit was part of the business trip the Delegation has undertaken aiming to explore opportunities for trade and services expansion in Doha in a number of sectors, from meat and livestock products to oil and gas. Al Jassra Group was selected to conduct the workshop on ‘Business in Qatar’ through Al Jassra Corporate, the group’s entity responsible in supporting foreign companies that aim to start business in Qatar. The information shared at the workshop led to a fruitful and extended dialogue between the South African delegates and the Al Jassra Corporate executives during the cocktail reception held to honour them.
